Échelle Un Festival. From 16 to 17 May.
More than ever, young architectural practices are facing a series of complex challenges and opportunities. At the heart of their concerns are the issues that will feed into the reflections carried out as part of the national strategy for architecture (SNA) supported by the Ministry of Culture, such as contemporary construction issues, the need to stand out in a competitive market and the desire to make social and environmental commitments in their practice.
Taking its name from the incubator set up by Ensa Paris-Est in 2016, the Échelle Un Festival will highlight the agility of this new generation of emerging architects, as well as their concerns and aspirations. By choosing to take over one of the most stimulating creative campuses in the Greater Paris region, the festival offers a framework conducive to the emergence of innovative ideas on the practice of architecture by those who build our environments.
The programme for this first edition of the festival, produced by the school in collaboration with Matthew Won Piker, curator, and agencies from the incubator, includes ten round tables, four participatory workshops and two speed dating sessions between architects and clients.
