Poking fun at a coincidence in the calendar, and drawing inspiration from the twenty works created for the season, whose tones are alternately those of parade and refuge, Sur l'envers is conceived as an inverted reflection of a Fashion Week show, where each emblematic parameter is subverted by the works and their layout. It freely and metaphorically appropriates the symbolic and architectural binarity between the catwalket and the backstage. The catwalk, on the one hand, is the raised runway, the centre of attention, the place of wonder and desire, the stage of the performance; on the other, the backstage, the place for fittings, waiting, preparation, confidences and recreation.
