Exhibition Château fantôme Misha Gudwin and Ivan Volkov. From 24 to 30 march 2026.

On the occasion of Drawing Week in Paris, POUSH is officializing its collaboration with Galerie Joseph, a network of over 30 exhibition spaces in the Marais.

From March 24 to 30, 2026, POUSH presents duwoshows: artistic encounters designed as dialogues between two artists, sharing a common space where practices intersect and respond to one another.

Ivan Volkov and Misha Gudwin present a duo installation, conceived as an exhibition within an exhibition.

The work takes the form of a fairy-tale castle, assembled from wooden planks and installed within the gallery space. The object functions simultaneously as a sculpture and an exhibition space for graphic works, inviting the viewer to pass through a Gothic opening to enter a semi-circular interior. Certain architectural elements of the castle are inspired by real-world references, notably the Caesar Tower in Provins, such as the dragon weathervane.

Inside the castle, drawing is presented in its broadest sense, no longer merely an image on paper, but a physical trace inscribed into matter. Ivan Volkov presents pyrogravings (images burned into wood), while Misha Gudwin exhibits engravings on metal and glass. In both cases, graphic practice becomes a means of rethinking what the medium of drawing can be today.

The installation creates an intimate, slightly fictional space, evoking folk tales and an atmosphere of mystery. It slows down the viewer’s movement and perception, transforming the castle into a kind of threshold, a passage between the reality of the exhibition and an imaginary world inhabited by the magical attributes and creatures depicted in the artists' works.

This project is part of the Duoshows exhibition, which brings together six duo presentations: Anne Le Troter & Margot Pietri, Io Burgard & Jennifer Caubet, Bryce Delplanque & Morgane Ely, Yosra Mojtahedi & Hamid Shams, Misha Gudwin & Ivan Volkov, and Simmon Ballagny & Paul Pinon.
