Exhibition Un petit rôt est sorti lors de ma sérénade au théâtre de l’Odéon. Simmon Ballagny et Paul Pinon. From 24 to 30 march 2026.
On the occasion of Drawing Week in Paris, POUSH is officializing its collaboration with Galerie Joseph, a network of over 30 exhibition spaces in the Marais.
From March 24 to 30, 2026, POUSH presents duwoshows: artistic encounters designed as dialogues between two artists, sharing a common space where practices intersect and respond to one another.
The project by Paul Pinon and Simmon Ballagny brings together two approaches to drawing and text that envision humor as a form of thought.
Simmon Ballagny collects fleeting words, accidental puns, and fragments of language destined for oblivion. By inscribing them, he grants them an unexpected materiality. Phrases become objects, physical presences that cluster into absurd constellations. Displaced from its utilitarian function, language becomes blurred, opening up improbable perspectives.
Paul Pinon, meanwhile, develops a cumulative drawing practice, rapid and incisive, where each image acts as a tool for thought. Behind an apparent immediacy lie narrative tensions, ironic shifts, and discreet cultural references. His humor explores the incongruity of social interactions, solitude, and the human condition in general.
Fragments of language and images echo and contaminate each other. Their proximity creates new associations, sometimes subtle, sometimes overt. It is within this friction, the space between image and text, that a new meaning, a new form, bursts forth.
This project is part of the Duoshows exhibition, which brings together six duo presentations: Anne Le Troter & Margot Pietri, Io Burgard & Jennifer Caubet, Bryce Delplanque & Morgane Ely, Yosra Mojtahedi & Hamid Shams, Misha Gudwin & Ivan Volkov, and Simmon Ballagny & Paul Pinon.
