POUSH arrives at the Hôtel de Viguier during the Rencontres d'Arles with the group exhibition Une poussière dans l'œil. From July 6 to 12, 2026.

To mark the Rencontres d’Arles, POUSH inaugurates the Hôtel de Viguier, a heritage site restored after five years of renovation, with an exhibition exploring the traces and materiality of the image: Une poussière dans l'œil (A Speck of Dust in the Eye).

The exhibition Une poussière dans l'œil speaks of an image, a trace, a narrative, a damaged material. The featured artists do not seek to preserve the world as it is; instead, they work from what is missing, what breaks, or what returns in a different form. Their interest lies not just in photography itself, but in how images are born, shaped, materialized, and sometimes veer off course. Here, an image can become a surface, a volume, an imprint, a residue, or an apparition.

This project resonates with the philosophy of the BMW Art Makers program, a partner of the event. Through the artists' works, this exhibition celebrates the pioneering exploration of the photographic medium and the artists' ability to reveal the world's fractures.

Featuring: Zoé Bernardi, Hector Garoscio, Sarah Makharine, Florent Meng, Adrien Missika, Dune Varela.

The exhibition takes place during the opening week of the Rencontres d'Arles.
