Appropriating the collapse, a workshop organized by the association Après les réseaux sociaux, with the support of Eur ArTeC and the Fondation de France. 25 june.
Research and creation workshop
Public presentation on Friday June 25, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at POUSH Manifesto – 6 Bd du Général Leclerc 92110 Clichy / 13th floor
This workshop of artistic practices bringing together 17 young researchers and artists¹ engages the methodologies of research-creation to think, conceive and create collectively works absorbing the exponential development of the discourse around the collapse of thermonuclear society. This discourse, more commonly gathered under the name “collapsology”, considers the inevitable fall and end not only of finance or of certain countries, but of biodiversity, the biosphere and by extension Western civilization and the human race. This discourse and the images that go with it, even though they are relatively rare in the so-called mainstream media, appear with increasing force on the Internet and particularly on social networks, blogs and other forums. How can these spaces allow us to seize this imagery of the collapse without yielding to it?
This workshop is organized by the association Après les réseaux sociaux with the support of the Eur ArTeC and the Fondation de France.
